Welcome

Project Introduction

“What’s the IDEA? Advancing Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) in Academic Library and Archival Collections: An Annotated Bibliography” is an open access resource intended to support practitioners in fostering IDEA values in their work to develop and steward collections and engage the communities they serve.

Published in the fall of 2023, this resource is available in three publicly available formats: a stable PDF document, an interactive website, and a Zotero reference library. All three versions are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. You may copy, share, adapt, and reuse all or portions of this work for any purpose, as long as you provide attribution.

Acknowledgments

Production of this annotated bibliography was made possible through the generous support of a 2022 Carnegie Whitney Grant from the American Library Association.

The bibliographers also wish to thank their former coworkers at the UConn Library, including Rhonda Kauffman, Roxanne Peck, Lauren Slingluff, and members of the UConn Library IDEA in Collections Working Group for their advice and support.
